A&M EDM, Smethwick based precision engineers recently picked up the runners up award for Business Growth and Strategy in Make UK’s Midlands & East regional manufacturing awards.
A&M EDM manufacture precision components and tooling for aerospace, automotive and motorsport customers.
The company invested in research and development to design and manufacture its own rotary engine, generating £400,000 export sales in 2018.
A&M EDM’s Managing Director, Mark Wingfield said: "This award is a great achievement as it’s from the voice of UK Manufacturing and the Midlands & East is by far the largest region.
In 2018 our sales grew by 32% to over £6m, because of continuous capital investment, which has helped us create new jobs and double our workforce since 2013.”
